I’ve been lucky to have a good number of guy friends who are completely not this, but I’ve also had to deal with more guys like this than I’d want. Usually I completely freeze them out. I don’t go out of my way to talk to them, and if they talk to me, I usually do it in short, clipped sentences. “Fuck you” and the finger have been used on multiple occasions as well. When they try to flirt, at first I don’t really respond, make a face and change the subject, and if they don’t take a hint, I start using their flirting as an opportunity to praise myself (“I’m pretty? Why of course I’m pretty, I’m the most gorgeous motherfucker who’s ever lived”).

There are too many genuinely nice people out there to waste bullshit on passive aggressive betas with no respect to your comfort. Show them no mercy.

He was injured in the blast and was running away like everyone else. But a bystander thought that was suspicious and tackled him. Police grilled him and ransacked his apartment. The new York post calls him a suspect immediately. Drudgereport links it under a screaming headline. World media pick it up. Everyone thinks he’s behind it. But. It’s. Just. Not. True.

I like how an innocent, injured, and scared man was tackled by bystanders, taken into custody, and defamed in the international media just for his skin color and his audacity to run from a fucking bombing and this warrants one tiny paragraph in an article about how “vigilant” they’re being in their investigation.

What makes me upset is that this poor man has been reduced to “Saudi man” and not injured bystander like the 100 other injured victims. He deserves as much respect as all the other victims but because he’s brown he must in some way be suspicious and so he gets questioned while he’s at the fucking hospital being treated. That’s just really fucked.
